OpenAI selling $230 Codex Micro hardware product

Last month, OpenAI teased Codex-branded hardware. Today, the company has released its collaboration with Work Louder: a $230 Codex Micro keyboard product.

Here’s the product description:

Designed with Work Louder, the kbd-1.0-codex-micro brings your agent workspace into reach. Keep active chats close, spot what every agent is doing through live RGB feedback, and map your most-used Codex actions to tactile controls built for the way you actually ship.

It’s sold in two versions: clicky and silent.

“Each Agent Key lights up with a live RGB status from Codex, so you can tell what’s thinking, running, waiting, or done before you even switch chats,” according to the website.

The product page also lists three Codex-specific features:

1. Trigger skills instantly: Flick the joystick to launch common Codex workflows like reviewing a PR, debugging an error, or refactoring code.
2. Keep core actions close: Command keys give your most-used actions a dedicated shortcut: accept, reject, push-to-talk, start a new chat, and more. Less switching. More shipping.
3. Set the brainpower: Turn the dial to adjust reasoning level in the moment. Stay fast for simple tasks, or crank it up when the work calls for heavier thinking.
