iOS 27 uses a waitlist for accessing Siri AI

iOS 27 is officially here, but if you’re hoping to try the new Siri AI, you might have to wait a bit longer, because Apple is using a waitlist for access.

Siri AI requires joining waitlist in iOS 27

Apple launched iOS 27 today with Siri AI one of the tentpole new features.

The new Siri is a huge upgrade years in the making, and it’s finally here.

There are several requirements Apple has for gaining access to Siri AI. They include having a compatible iPhone, setting your device language to English, and more.

Add to those: there’s a Siri AI waitlist in iOS 27 so Apple can roll the feature out slowly

After installing iOS 27, do this to join the waitlist:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Go to the Siri menu in Settings
  3. Tap ‘Try Siri AI (beta)’
  4. Follow the prompts that pop up to officially join the waitlist

The process is very similar to the waitlist Apple used a couple years ago in iOS 18.1 for Apple Intelligence access.

Once you’ve joined the waitlist, Apple says you’ll be notified when the new Siri is available for your iPhone.
