XChat, X’s standalone messaging app, currently unavailable on App Store [U]

XChat, X’s standalone messaging app for iPhone and iPad, is currently unavailable on the App Store.

It’s unclear why the app is no longer available. The Android version appears to be readily available on the Google Play Store.

XChat launched earlier this year as a standalone version of direct messaging between X users.

Update: While it’s still unclear why XChat is no longer available on the App Store, we can share that this is not a case of Apple pulling the app listing. A source familiar said the developer removed the app of their own accord. XChat has also disappeared from the Google Play Store. It seems like X may just be discontinuing the app after a few short months.
