With the Amazon fall Prime Day event now underway, it is one of the best times of year to refresh your AirPods. While we are still awaiting holiday-worthy pricing on Apple’s latest AirPods 5 models, with AirPods Pro 3 down this low they might be a better buy for most folks anyway, and the 2026 AirPods Max 2 are now $120 off in all five colorways for those looking to get into the Apple over-ear experience.
- AirPods Pro 3 $179 (Reg. $249)
- AirPods Max 2 $429 (Reg. $549)
I’m personally quite impressed that Apple debuted its new entry-level AirPods 5 with active noise cancellation at the same $129 as the previous set without them. You’ll need to, however, jump up to the upgraded set at $149 to score the Wireless Charging Case, and that means you can land the much more advanced and high-end AirPods Pro for just $30 more right now – seems like a no-brainer to me.
- AirPods Pro 3 $179 (Reg. $249)
Regularly $249, this is $70 off the list price and within just $10 of the lowest price we have ever seen on Amazon – a deal we have only tracked once since release.
Down the road we will almost certainly see the new AirPods 5 starting at closer to $100 or less, but, if history and the previous generation are any indication, it might not be until well into 2027 before they plummet south of the $99 mark. And even once they do, the AirPods Pro 3 will still deliver 3x better noise cancellation, longer battery life, onboard heart rate sensors, all those Hearing Aid features, and, in my opinion, a much better fit.
That’s a more than compelling argument to land the Pro 3 over the new series 5 sets, but if it’s the premium Apple over-ears you’re after, the fall Prime Day deal on Apple’s 2026 Max 2 are where it’s at.
- AirPods Max 2 $429 (Reg. $549)
Now sitting just $30 above the lowest price we have ever tracked on Amazon, you can land a set in any one of the five colorways at $120 off the list price.
It is also worth pointing out that this is only the second time we have tracked them down this low since release earlier this year – only once have they ever sold for less.
There are some other notable headphone deals from top brands like Sony and Bose (you’ll find those below), but there’s nothing quite like a Cupertino-designed personal listening experience if you ask me. If you’re not so convinced, you’ll find some admittedly solid options waiting below alongside a bevy of standout deals from across the Apple ecosystem.
