HomeView, Apple TV 4K, and more now available for Amazon pre-order

Apple today unveiled its next big foray into the smart home world, including the new HomeView smart display and a new Apple TV 4K. Following Apple’s announcement, the new Apple home gear is also now available for pre-order on Amazon:

HomeView

The new HomeView display is the headlining product from Apple’s smart home launch today. Highlights include:

  • A 7-inch square Liquid Retina display with True Tone and 500 nits of brightness that dims to 0.3 nits for nightstand use.
  • Two versions: a tabletop model with a domed speaker base and a tilting stainless steel hinge, and a wall-mounted model.
  • Facial recognition for up to six people, each with their own Home Screen, apps, and widgets.
  • An interface that adapts to distance, showing simpler info from across the room and more detail up close.
  • Siri AI, with personal context when you have an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, and world knowledge without one.
  • A Center Stage camera for FaceTime calls.

HomeView is available to pre-order today for $299, with the first orders arriving on November 13.

Apple TV 4K (4th Generation)

The new Apple TV 4K, meanwhile, also packs Siri AI support thanks to its new A19 chip inside, among other changes:

  • Siri AI support
  • An A19 chip with up to 50% faster CPU and 2x faster GPU performance than the previous model
  • Built-in far-field microphones, so you can say “Siri” or “Hey Siri” without pressing the remote button
  • An upgraded Siri Remote with Find My and Precision Finding

The Apple TV 4K (4th Generation) is available to pre-order today for $299, with the first orders arriving on November 13.

Siri Remote (4th Generation)

The new Apple TV 4K also comes with a new Siri Remote, which adds Find My integration and a built-in speaker. Luckily, you can buy the new Siri Remote separately, so you don’t have to shell out $299 for those new features.

You can pre-order the new Siri Remote today for $59, with the first orders arriving November 13.

HomePod mini 2

Finally, Apple today announced the HomePod mini 2:

  • An S10 chip replacing the S5.
  • Siri AI with personal context when paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad (coming with a future software update)
  • Sound Glow, which turns the top into a light display that pulses with the music, matches colors to the album artwork.
  • Colors: Green, pink, blue, midnight, and white

The new HomePod mini 2 is available to pre-order today for $149, with the first orders arriving October 30.
