HomeView for your wall doesn’t include mount, which costs $59 minimum

Today Apple unveiled its new HomeView product in two models, one with a speaker base and the other built for wall mounting. But if you buy the latter, just know you’ll need to spend more for a separate mount.

HomeView offers two mount options, with a third coming in 2027

Apple’s HomeView is officially here. The company introduced the new smart home product today, and it’s available for pre-order now ahead of the first deliveries November 13.

HomeView is available in two distinct models: Apple HomeView and Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted). Both products have the exact same $299 price tag, despite the wall-mounted version not having as powerful a speaker system.

And surprisingly, if you want the wall-mounted version you’ll actually end up paying more for it overall. That’s because it doesn’t include a mount.

Apple is selling two different mount options that start at $59, and it says a third is coming in early 2027.

Here are the mount options:

All three mounts are made by Schneider Home, and are currently available via the links above with November 13 delivery.

You can opt out of buying a mount altogether to get a HomeView for $299 still. But Apple warns: “Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) requires a mount and power solution to operate.”
