Humorous Apple Pay video touts iPhone speed advantage when stakes are high

Is Apple Pay faster than alternate payment solutions? The latest video from Apple certainly aims to convince you of the iPhone’s advantage, and does so by showing a high-stakes scenario when speed is of the essence.

‘Outrun’ is the latest Apple Pay promo video, and it features a giant dinosaur

Apple has just published a new video promoting Apple Pay on the iPhone.

The ad is called ‘Outrun’ and features an iPhone user fleeing from what appears to be a huge dinosaur.

But even in world-altering dinosaur attacks, most cars still need gas in the tank. And the video shows this fleeing woman stopping as a gas station, in need of a quick way to pay for fuel.

Here’s the video:

Apple’s video description on YouTube reads:

Life is chaotic. Paying shouldn’t be. Just use Apple Pay and be on your way. It works anywhere that takes contactless payments — from coffee shops and supermarkets to taxis and train stations. And yes, even at gas stations with particularly “challenging” attendants.

If you like the song in the ad, it’s “KA-POW” by Cain Culto and can be found here on Apple Music.
