Apple Sports enhanced with March Madness brackets and league expansion

Last month, Apple upgraded its Apple Sports app with new NCAA tournament tracking features, a huge soccer expansion, and the ability to track leagues and teams in more markets. Now that March Madness is here, we have a look at how the feature appears in the app.

Apple Sports version 3.8 arrived on February 23 with a focus on keeping up with college sports tournament results:

Follow the Men’s and Women’s NCAA tournaments in real time, with brackets showcasing matchups and results at a glance for each round, so you can keep up with every game.

Here’s how March Madness brackets look in Apple Sports:

Last month’s update also added “a new soccer category” that Apple says makes it “easier to find and follow your favorite leagues, cups, and more, all in one place.” The soccer expansion in today’s update also adds these leagues:

  • Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
  • Categoría Primera A
  • Liga de Primera
  • Liga Pro
  • Liga Profesional de Futbol
  • Primera División del Perú

And lastly, Apple Sports expanded with support for following leagues and teams in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Apple Sports for iPhone is available for free on the App Store.
