Apple’s Self Service Repair Store was updated today to offer several standalone repair parts for recently released products, including the repair-friendly MacBook Neo. Here are the details.
New parts and tools available for Apple’s latest devices
Since 2022, Apple has offered the Self Service Repair Store, where users in eligible regions can acquire parts and tools (which they choose to buy or rent) to perform their own repairs on supported devices.
Additionally, Apple also offers official repair manuals for several products, with detailed, step-by-step instructions on the replacement procedures of each serviceable part or component.
Today, Apple updated its Self Service Repair Store to include new parts and tools for the MacBook Neo and the iPhone 17e, in addition to other products it recently released, including the iPad Air (M4), the MacBook Air (M5), the MacBook Pro (M5 Pro and M5 Max), the new Studio Display, and the Studio Display XDR.
From the back glass and bottom speaker of the iPhone 17e, to the housing, fans, and logic board of the Studio Display XDR and beyond, users can now acquire the parts and necessary tools to perform their own repairs, with the help of the company’s official repair manuals.
This is particularly good news for MacBook Neo owners, given that Apple’s new entry-level laptop earned widespread praise for its repairability.
