Last month Amazon announced that Prime Video Ultra would be launching soon in the US, and that day has officially arrived. Here are the details and how to sign up.
Prime Video Ultra is the new $4.99/month ad-free tier from Amazon, replacing previous plan
Amazon has just launched a new ad-free subscription plan for Prime Video, replacing the previous ad-free tier for US subscribers.
Prime Video Ultra is available now for $4.99/month for current Prime subscribers.
The previous ad-free Prime Video plan cost $2.99/month, so Ultra brings a significant increase with it.
However, that increase also comes with some new features that help make it more appealing compared to the ads plan for Prime Video.

For starters, 4K/UHD streaming is exclusive to Prime Video Ultra. So if having the highest quality streams is important to you, Ultra’s the way to go.
Additionally, Ultra users can now have up to five simultaneous streams at once. The previous ad-free plan only supported three streams.

I would happily pay for removing ads—if it ACTUALLY meant NO ADS.
We previously paid for the “no ad” plan on Prime Video but dropped it when we were still fed ads. No ads should mean NO ADS (like none, zip, zero, zilch). Some of these streamers seem confused as to what constitutes an “ad.”
Finally, Prime Video Ultra also gives you up to 100 offline downloads at a time, a big increase from the previous cap of 25.
These benefits are nice, but the main appeal of Ultra for many will likely be the removal of ads.
To sign up for Prime Video Ultra, go to this page and select the button that says ‘Go ad free with Ultra.’
