Apple rolls out fourth developer and public RCs for macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8

New Release Candidates for macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8 are available to developers and users in the public beta program. Here are the details.

macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8 get new RCs

As soon as Apple wrapped up its “Surprise and Shine” event, where it announced the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple rolled out RC builds for macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8.

macOS 26.7 is light on new user-facing features and focuses instead on bug fixes and performance improvements. The same goes for macOS Sequoia 15.8.

Thanks to improvements in AI-assisted security research, Apple has been able to speed up security fixes over the past few months. For this reason, it’ll likely be a good idea to update your Mac as soon as these systems become available officially in the next few days.

The new Release Candidate build for macOS Tahoe 26.7 is 25G229, while the build for macOS Sequoia 15.8 RC 4 is 24H23.
