Apple releases macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8, here’s what’s new

In addition to releasing macOS 27 Golden Gate, Apple is also rolling out macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8. Here’s what’s new.

’Important security fixes’

Apple today released macOS 27 Golden Gate, which introduces the new Siri AI and a dedicated app, new Apple Foundation Models, several improvements to Safari, Shortcuts, and more.

Additionally, Apple is rolling out macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8, which the company says provide “important security fixes and is recommended for all users.”

Apple has yet to update its security releases page with the details of what is included in the updates. However, given the company’s recent history of important macOS security fixes, particularly the ones involving WebKit vulnerabilities, it might be a good idea to update sooner rather than later, in case you don’t want to, or can’t update to macOS 27.

The release builds for macOS Tahoe 26.7 and macOS Sequoia 15.8 are 25G229 and 24H23, respectively, matching their most recent release candidates.
