You can buy the new, improved Siri Remote for your existing Apple TV 4K

Today Apple unveiled the long-awaited new Apple TV 4K model, which includes an updated Siri Remote with a built-in speaker as part of its Find My and Precision Finding support. But even if you’re not upgrading, you can still buy the new Siri Remote for your current Apple TV.

New Siri Remote available for $59 with Precision Finding and built-in speaker

Are you always losing your Siri Remote for Apple TV? Then you might be interested in the new Siri Remote that comes with the fourth-gen Apple TV 4K.

The new Apple TV 4K is available to pre-order now and ships November 13. But its $299 price tag may put off prospective upgraders.

If you just want the new Siri Remote, you can order that instead.

From Apple’s press release:

The new Siri Remote is compatible with Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K, and is also available for purchase separately.

The latest Siri Remote has the same basic design as the prior model. But it adds Precision Finding support for Find My, and a built-in speaker so you can play a sound on the remote when it’s lost.

A seriously disappointing day with an absurdly overpriced streaming box, a "hub" that no one really knows what it does, and a "new" mini speaker that Apple wants you to buy 4 of to get surround sound.

If this is any indication of the future, Apple's OLED day at the end of the month isn't going to be good.

Precision Finding will be a significant upgrade when trying to recover your lost remote, as it can guide you directly to the remote on your iPhone or Apple Watch.

You can order the Siri Remote (4th generation) from the Apple Store for $59.

The remote will ship to customers on November 13, the same day the new Apple TV 4K delivers.

Will you buy the new Siri Remote, or the fourth-gen Apple TV 4K? Let us know in the comments.
