Don’t expect midnight Apple retail store openings for Black Friday

In years past, a handful of Apple retail stores in the United States opened up at 12am midnight for the Black Friday sales event, which takes place the day after Thanksgiving. The Apple locations that typically opened at those extra-early times were stores within malls, and many of these malls required all of its stores holding Black Friday sales events to open simultaneously. This year, however, Apple will not follow the rules of several mall complexes and will open at 5, 6, 7, or 8 am at the earliest, according to our sources. Only a couple of stores will open at 4 am. Many stores that are not situated in malls will open between 8 am and 10 am. IFOAppleStore also highlights the changes from last year.
