T-Mobile may not have the wireless coverage fidelity that bigger providers like AT&T and Verizon possess, but no one can argue that it isn’t trying to do everything in its power to stand out in other ways. Between April 3rd and April 10th, T-Mobile customers can sign up for a free year of MLB.TV Premium service, a $109.99 value, that features live games for the entire 2016 MLB season.
How to get free MLB.TV premium service for a year
Step 1: Disconnect from Wi-Fi on your iPhone or iPad and ensure that you’re connected to the T-Mobile network.
Step 2: Visit T-Mobile.com/MLB
Step 3: Scroll down the page and tap the Sign Up button.
Step 4: If you already have a free MLB.com account, use that to sign in; otherwise, you’ll need to set one up under the Register heading. There, you’ll be asked to submit your email address, password, and birth date.
Step 5: Once your account is created, download the MLB.com At Bat app from the App Store, and login with your MLB.com account.
Congratulations. You can now watch free live streamed MLB games for the entire 2016 season. Keep in mind that blackouts still apply.
This is one of the best perks that I’ve seen a wireless carrier offer its customers in quite some time. If you’re a baseball fan who happens to use T-Mobile, then be sure to take advantage of this awesome offer before April 10th.
As an added bonus, live streams from the MLB.com At Bat app are eligible for T-Mobile’s controversial Binge On feature. BingeOn, as we’ve talked about in the past, allows customers to stream content for free without it counting against their data balance. This means that not only can you get free access to a year’s worth of live MLB games, but you can watch them on the go without incurring data usage if you’re on the right T-Mobile plan.

All hail John Legere! I signed up at about 12:01 AM and haven’t looked back
i don’t really watch baseball, but i redeemed the offer
could someone explain this line , ” T-Mobile may not traditionally have the MLB coverage that bigger providers like AT&T and Verizon possess “. what is different about the major league ball app when you subscribe to other carriers?
hahaha. they fixed the goof , they changed it to “T-Mobile may not have the wireless coverage fidelity that bigger providers like AT&T and Verizon possess”
Got mine. changed my dns settings, no more blackouts!!!
I like the cut of your jib. You mind sharing how to do this, as blackout restrictions won’t allow me to watch in my media room which is now void of cable. Can it be done with iOS as well as Apple TV? Thanks!
once you activate the major league baseballl account with your t-mobile device, you are not limited to watching it on your iPhone or ipad. the account you made works just fine on the roku and other mlb apps on your home internet
We just switched four of our lines over to T-mobile this week. I just signed up – works great on the iPad, iPhone, and AppleTV. I’m not a big baseball fan, but I may tune in from time to time.
Yeah but not really free…you have to buy the AT.BAT app for $20
no, it comes free with all mlb.tv subscriptions. So once you sign up for account, you should be able to log into that account for free and redeem to get the pro features.
The app is free, I don’t know where you went to download it. The cost of $20 if you want to pay for the At Bat Premium. This offer gets you that plus all the video streams.
Clicked on link through tmobile instructions during signup (clicking on “get on app store” box) and takes me directly to Pay $19.99 for at bat app.
if I go through app store, I found the at bat app for free. Thx
If someone don’t watch basball and have T-Mobile, give me the redeem code :( on twitter
Is there anyway I can use this offer in the UK? Is there a cheap enough plan to make it worthwhile?
I’d love to watch a little baseball but not worth signing up to MLB because time difference means most of the games are on at unwatchable times.
keep getting “try again”
This offer Tmobile free MLB.tv offer is a scam: I have tried everything and talked to both MLB and T-mobile. Tmobile says I am signed up; MLB says no — and that’s been where it has been for two weeks. Nobody understands how the offer works in the first place to give you any advice. My best guess is that, since I already had At Bat, my “switch” never got turned on. I have tried re-downloading At Bat, etc. I am a big fan of John Legere but he’s really screwed up here because his own techs will admit they have no idea how the offer works. If it works: great! If not: you get nothing. Please note MAYBE I did something horribly wrong the first time I signed up on my phone (doubt it) but my wife and my son both signed up and were super careful — and also got the pink page that said, “Great! Your Signed Up with MLB.tv” (or such) and all three phones can’t even get into At Bat even to get free scores. In other words, we are worse off than we were before the offer. You know, John, if your going to have offers, you really have to have people who understand how to fix inevitable problems — especially when the “deal” is mainly dependent on the third-party organization, here MLB.
Yeah, spent hours on this last year & again this year. It worked last year, but not sure if it worked this year. Reset password, logged out, logged in, logged out, logged in… after awhile I just wanted to throw my phone at the wall. Still have no idea if it worked.
