The App Store is currently down for a lot of users

Apple isn’t having the best 24 hours for its online services. Last night, we reported that App Store Connect, AppleCare, and other services were experiencing an outage. Now today, many users have reported that the App Store itself is down.

Downdetector.com shows that many users have reported being unable to access the App Store. The outage seems to have started between 10 and 11am Eastern and includes thousands of reports as of the time this article is being published.

Apple’s system status page currently shows that the App Store is running as normal, with a green status light. It does, however, highlight Subscription Purchases as experiencing an outage at the moment.

It’s unclear whether the users reporting the App Store outage have all experienced issues only when managing subscriptions, but it’s highly unlikely.

We’ll keep an eye on the status of the App Store to see if Apple acknowledges the outage or provides more details soon.

Fortunately, the services that were offline last night seem to have since been repaired. All Apple developer services are currently showing no further issues.
