Wal-Mart may begin selling the iPad later this year in an expansion of its electronics retail sales, the company confirmed today.
While such sales likely depend on Apple and its manufacturers figuring a way to build the product in even larger quantities, the giant retailer hopes to offer the must-have netbook replacement from later this year.

AT&T changes in upgrade eligibility rules are today being seen as potential hints at introduction of the next model iPhone, perhaps on June 21, particularly when readers recall the furore when the carrier denied an easy upgrade park to many iPhone users on last year’s launch of the iPhone 3GS.

Apple manufacturing partner, Hon Hai Group, this morning admitted that yet another of its employees has committed suicide, jumping from her apartment building in Shenzhen, China.
The 24-year old young girl worked the assembly line at the Shenzhen shop. Local cops are investigating the death of the girl, Zhu, who was on holiday at the time.

Verizon Wireless Chief Executive Lowell McAdam confirmed today that they were working with Google to build a competitor to the iPad. McAdam, in an interview with the WSJ, said that tablets are part of the “next big wave of opportunities,” and that “work on a tablet is part of a deepening relationship between the largest U.S. wireless carrier and Google.”
He added, “We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.” Verizon declined to comment on a timeline for release of a Google tablet nor which manufacturer would make it.
