This is an app called Street Orchestra, I think it is going to be quite popular. The video above shows what happens when the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra tested the app, using it instead of their own instruments. (More video after the jump).

Conceived of by Swedish advertising agency SCP, and developed by HiQ the app is like a simple version of Rock Band that lets you play classical music with up to 200,000 synched iPhones. And it is free.

Apple has introduced its new Apple Online Retail store application, which it is calling, Apple Store.

If you Google-haters can put down your pitchforks for a few minutes you might get to see something pretty special: a full resolution version of Google Earth on iPad (iTunes Link).  Wow.

Apple is preparing to introduce its own Apple retail store app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The app — due to ship tomorrow, according to MacRumors — will let users access the Apple Store online, make iPhone pre-orders and enable them to book appointments at the Genius Bar.

Apple faces stiff competition from Android in the smartphone market, so no surprise it took the heat onto its competitor in this video distributed during WWDC.

The five minute sequence features an assembly of well-known developers, including Callaway’s Nicholas Callaway, Bottle Rocket’s Calvin Carter, Pandora’s Tom Conrad, ABC TV’s Skarpi Hedinsson, Illusion Lab’s Carl Loodberg and Wolfram Research’s Theodore Gray.

Under pressure from the New York Times the simply fabulous Pulse RSS app has been removed from sale at the iTunes App Store.

UPDATE: Strangely — the app reappared again last night. We’ll wait and see what happens next, then.

This release has been heavily-hyped, now Wired Magazine has finally inched its way to the iPad, despite being made using Adobe

Everybody’s favourite TV on an Apple product solution provider, Elgato, has introduced a must-have software update for EyeTV — introducing live TV streaming support for the iPad App (when used with a new App that’s “coming soon”, the company said).

Apple has opened up its iPad App Store for international purchases.

The dedicated iPad App Store has only been available to browse via the US iTunes Store until now. Overnight this situation changed and users worldwide can now explore their own versions of the store.

This takes place as Apple prepares to ship the iPad in nine additional countries — Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK — on May 28.

At the beginning of the month, Apple noted that it had already sold over one million iPads while customers have downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store, as well as 1.5 million ebooks from the new iBookstore.

NB: There are reports suggesting the new store isn’t fully implemented at this time.
