I purchased this for my (Early 2011) i7 Macbook Pro. Apple charges $200+ for the upgrade and you lose the ability to sell your stock memory. I replaced my 4GB with this 8GB kit and sold my 4GB for $40. so in essence i got this for … man oh man.. what a deal! Works well and the difference in video editing and running multiple apps is noticeable.
