Zagg, the company behind many of our favorite Bluetooth keyboards and cases, today announced its latest creation, the ZAGG Speaker Case for iPhone 6 with detachable Bluetooth speaker. Not only that, but the case also packs in an 1800mAh backup battery, which the company says will get you approximately “8 hours of additional talk time, and can be shared with a friend.”

The new Speaker Case from Zagg comes alongside two other CES product announcements from the company: Zagg Pocket ($69), an almost full-sized Bluetooth keyboard that folds into a pocketable 9” X 2.5” X .5” rectangle, and InvisibleShield HDX, an updated version of its popular screen protector that Zagg says includes “3X shatter protection with an ultra-clear finish” and “the easiest application on the market.”

An image of the new Zagg Pocket keyboard, which the company says “maintains over 85% the typing space of a desktop keyboard” when unfolded, is below:

Both the Zagg Pocket and Zagg Speaker Case for iPhone 6 will arrive in Q1 2015.

Someone should design a battery case with a built in LOUD alarm and sell it with a Bluetooth key fob and an app that will cause the alarm to sound if the phone is taken out of range of the fob. In addition to this there should be a button on the fob to make the alarm go off. Better yet, have it link to Find My iPhone. Find My iPhone is a great feature but the send a tone feature is a little wimpy.

It looks like amp audio is trying to steal your thunder. Will your new case beat their’s to the market? Their ads say it will release in the spring and they are already taking orders… LOL, the ad for their product appears at the top of this page (at least in my browser).
