Aspyr just announced that it’s going to release the much anticipated next installment in the Borderlands series on October 14. For anyone keeping score, that’s the same day scheduled for 2K’s release on PC and consoles! The company also confirmed that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for Mac will feature everything the PC release has including cross-platform multiplayer and future DLC:
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for Mac and Linux will offer full feature parity with the Windows PC version, including cross-platform multiplayer and SHiFT Support. Plus, Aspyr will be supporting all future DLC releases.
In addition, Aspyr said it’s planning a Mac App Store release of the game for October 16.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is already available to preorder through GameAgent on Mac (and Linux) and the company is offering a 20% pre-order discount if you login into your account on its website before purchasing.
The game will require a Mac running OS X 10.9.4 (Mavericks) or later and at least a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, and 13GB of hard drive space. Supported video cards include NVIDIA GeForce 8800, ATI Radeon HD 2600, or Intel HD 3000 with 256 MB of Video Memory.

It will be great for sure, but still playing Borderlands 2, too little time for gaming and Borderlands is quite a long game :-D
The franchise is bundles of fun. I’m glad it’s coming to Mac, and in time for the new, soon-to-be-announced generation next month, too. Yay
And then it will be delayed for the Mac for 2 months just prior to the release of the PC version. See this to many times. They never get it right.
So this is a Steam release?
