Apple has released a new beta version of OS X 10.10.2 to developers through the App Store’s software update mechanism and the Mac Developer Center. The update, which has a build number of 14C99d (compared to 14C94b in the previous release) is not yet available to AppleSeed users.
The 10.10.2 update will include fixes for common Wi-Fi problems, issues with the built-in Mail app, VoiceOver, and more. With only one week passing between pre-release builds, it seems the patch is getting closer to completion, and could be expected for public release soon.

If they don’t fix the damn DNS issues soon, I’m gonna be pissed. It’s irresponsible for Yosemite to be this buggy. Wifi issues still? We had them with Mavericks too, but they’re still not fixed in Yosemite. I’m installing the latest 10.10.2 build now. I hope I will be pleasantly surprised by the results of the installation.

According to the comments on the DNS article Ars did on this, 10.10.2 greatly improved this but not completely.
It’s only been about 12 hours since I upgraded to the latest version of 10.10.2, and it’s too soon to report anything. I see this problem a lot when I move around from site to site. It seems that DNS server information gets cached, and Yosemite doesn’t let go of that cached information as it should. Turning wifi off and back on again helps clear it up, but that should not be needed if they would fix the problem. The issue seems to happen only at times when it will cause me the most inconvenience. Go figure!
So far, so good. No weirdness. Apple doesn’t mention testing DNS issues, so I’m not confident that this update has fixed the problem. 10.10.2 did fix the problem with my MacBook Pro renaming itself with a number in parentheses. That was getting annoying since it was breaking some network enabled apps.
They also seeded Xcode 6.2 beta 4 ( 6C107a ).

GUESS WHAT!!! It still doesn’t fix the ongoing issues getting Apple branded sofware like Safari, Mail and the beloved Feedback Assistant connected to the internet, let alone function. I upgraded to the latest beta and all seemed great for 24 hours but now i awoke the macbook from sleep to find the problems persist AND I can’t even get Apple Feedback Assistant started in order to report the ONGOING issues!!! What a joke…
The only thing that seems to resolve this is Upload and reload discoveryd (I have relayed this to Apple for the past 2 months):
Step-1: Go to Applications>> Utilities>> or with Spotlight to open Terminal. Enter the following command
sudo launchctl unload –w
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.discoveryd.plist
Step-2: Return and enter an admin password to use the sudo command
Step-3: Type in the following command to reload discoveryd
sudo launchctl load -w
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.discoveryd.plist
Step-4: Press Return to finish the command
Note: You need to relaunch the apps that require network connectivity. Also if you reboot the Mac, you will have to repeat the above steps to upload and reload discoveryd into launchd
