Apple won’t offer special business pricing, financing, and bulk discount options, like it does with Macs, iPhones, and iPads, for the Apple Watch at launch, according to sources. However, business customers will still be able to make their purchases via the dedicated Business Teams at some Apple Stores…
In most cases, business customers will still, however, be offered the walk-through sales process discussed in our earlier articles. Some readers have hoped that Apple would sell the stainless steel or gold models in bulk due to the pricing and the allure of gifting several watches simultaneously.
Additionally, we are told that customers will not be able to use iPhone or non-iPhone trade-in program credit toward the purchase of the Apple Watch. So, if a customer already has a new iPhone model, they will not be able to trade-in their older iPhone for a gift card to be used toward the purchase of an Apple Watch. However, if a gift card has remaining value after a new iPhone is purchased, that amount can be used toward a Watch.

I can’t wait to see what Henry Blodgett and Business Insider does with this article. To Blodgett, it will be proof that Apple is doomed, because after all, we ALL know that this means that Windows will become the corporate standard for watches.
Uh, wait a minute. Since when does there need to be a corporate standard for watches? And why on earth would business financing or even iPhone trade-ins be required for a product so personal as an Apple Watch? But that never stopped Business Insider from running a juicy click-baiting, Apple-hating headline. It’s what they do best.

And if I am forced to read yet another idiotic piece of drivel about Apple Watches all costing $10-17,000 (and I’m also looking at you, Woz), I will lose my mind. The bulk of Apple Watch sales will be in the $4-500 category, but that never stopped pundits, bloggers and clueless media from conveniently ignoring this, and basing their click-bait memes on the most high-end Apple Watches that will sell to but a relative few.
Please tell me that humanity is smarter than all this. Please.
In that final paragraph it states that you won’t be able to use credit from trading in older iPhones towards the price of the Apple Watch. Since this credit is stored in an Apple Store gift card does this then mean that you can’t use apple store gift cards to purchase the watch? Since the keynote I have been storing my money for buying the Apple Watch in Apple Store gift cards, does this mean that I can’t use these? That would reeeeally suck for me…
I think if you read it carefully you will see that you should be fine using the gift cards.
They just don’t want anyone trading in an iPhone for a Watch (for some reason).
How many of you are planning on buying an Apple Watch? I have never before felt so convinced that I’m NOT going to buy a new Apple product as with the Apple Watch. I wonder how many Apple fans feel the same way?

Long-time Apple fan here (since Mac Classic days), and I will be buying one.
The very existence of the “Edition” watches makes my stomach turn and tends to make me not want to participate, but the base product is both a good idea, and I now think, not that expensive for what you get. I would feel a lot better about my purchase if they would cancel the Edition version though.
It makes me feel like I’m buying a sandwich from Hitler. It’s like your starving, and there’s the Führer holding out that nice tasty sandwich, and you know you “shouldn’t” buy it from him … but your starving.
