You don’t want to admit it, but you were talked into being an early adopter of Android Wear or Pebble before Apple Watch was even a thing. Now that Apple Watch preorders have kicked off and the Watch is almost in your hands, it’s time to unload your Android Wear watches before people catch on and resale values plummet.
Good news: NextWorth, one of the leaders in mobile device trade-ins, today announced it will begin paying out for your old Android, Samsung, and Pebble watches (and soon Apple Watches too).
So how much will you get for your old Android or Samsung watch? A Samsung Galaxy Gear in good condition will get your $38, while a Moto 360 will get your $107. Both watches retailed for over $250 when originally released but have since been reduced.
A Pebble Steel smartwatch will get $73 in good condition currently. But it’s possible trade-in prices will drop significantly when Apple Watch finally floods the market in the coming months.
NextWorth isn’t accepting Apple Watch trade-ins yet, but it plans to when the device begins shipping later this month.

oh that is sad! i would just so keep my device and find a use for it.
I hear those Android Wear smartwatches make good paperweights. Go with that purpose.
I used mine to mend my water hose. Works like a charm!

I wouldn’t mind buying some of those used Android Wear watches at reduced prices simply to play around with. A Pebble Steel smartwatch for the price of some Casio or Timex isn’t a bad deal at all. Some people were saying how AppleWatch sales will help other non-Apple smartwatch-selling companies in some unspecified capacity. I wouldn’t consider AppleWatch causing massive price reductions actually helping those companies at all. I do know the news media is constantly trying to spin bad stories about AppleWatch but we’ll see when it comes to sales. I’m certain Apple will sell more AppleWatches in a relatively short time than all other smartwatch companies combined because Apple knows how to sell products to loyal Apple consumers. For some reason the ignorant news media simply doesn’t understand Apple’s strengths.
The Apple watch seems nice but I went through that charging my watch every night with the few Android watches I’ve had. This will be no different. I also down’t want to have to raise the watch up or shake it just to see what time it is. I have my Pebble Time Steel on order. Can’t wait.
This is great, I didn’t know what to do with my Pebble now my Pebble Time is on the way…
