Roughly two weeks after the previous build with Apple Music support included, Apple has released iOS 9 beta 4 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to registered developers. iOS 9 includes new or redesigned built-in apps including the Flipboard-like News app and an overhauled Notes app, powerful iPad multitasking features, and a new system feature built around search and intelligence called Proactive. The previous beta included the first look at Apple’s News app, support for Apple Music and Beats 1, and other changes including Screenshots and Selfies albums in Photos and 4×4 app folders on the iPad. We’ll dig in to today’s release and update with changes in the latest beta.

Dude. . . . .
Hoping for a public beta 2 soon as well. Hopefully either today or later this week.
Does anyone know the typical timeline for the public beta releases? The developer betas seem to be pretty regular every two weeks.
Usually the new public betas release a day or two after developer betas.
Public betas are released every 3 developer betas.
From what I can remember, Public Betas were less frequent and came a few days after a Developer Build. Its possible Apple has changed that and hopefully we get one later this week.
From “agwin27” on macrumors….
For those with the Public Beta Profile installed who want Developer Beta 4 (assuming apple doesn’t make a new beta available for the public users), here’s how to opt out of the Public Beta to get Beta 4:
-Settings > General > Profiles
-Delete the iOS 9 Public Beta Profile
-Reboot your device
-Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install
Will there be any problems if I install it this way
the process is working fine.. i tried it :)
If you have the iOS 9 public beta and don’t want to wait for a public beta with the latest iOS 9 features, you may try the following:
Go to Settings / General / Profile and delete the “iOS 9 Beta Software Profile”, then restart your iPhone, after that, you will be able to download the latest iOS 9 beta 4 via OTA update
Remove the beta profile reboot your phone and check for update :-)
When will the public beta be out? It’s needed!!

i am on the public beta right now . I just checked for updates and it gave me the option for ios 9 beta 4 …i’m currently installing the beta 4
You know that there is a difference between Public Beta and Developer Beta, right?
Or check out the App Store so you can pay just $0.99c to a developer for their hard work!!
My beta has been pretty smooth. Clearing notifications has been my only problem. Nice upgrade and the change in system font makes a huge difference. Feels really polished and high end….or rather like an iPhone should.
Same here. Everything’s great except clearing notifications.
Multitasking adds a cool new bar at the bottom for Handoff applications.
Battery icon is rounded off too
You don’t need UDID registered for iOS 9 beta.
Volume Up button works to take a photo again in Camera App (Did not work in previous beta).
seems as though the two-finger keyboard cursor feature that Apple really only mentioned for the iPad is still missing, at least on the iPhone 6 Plus. the feature was present in betas 1 & 2 but was removed in 3. really was hoping that this would stick around since the larger screen on the plus makes it more difficult than other devices to use the antiquated magnifying glass to move the curser. will definitely be submitting feedback to Apple on this one.
agreed, we should all complain about this! It’s a great thing to have
Absolutely true, I got used to using it really fast on my 6 plus. I hope they’ll bring it back.
Beta 4 feels sluggish. What happened to Siri Suggestions
I thought that. Restart the phone, worked for me.
Is this for Public Beta testers too?
Not yet

This did not work for me. :(
New sleep settings in Podcast playback which allows to sets the app to stop playing podcasts after a certain time or the current podcast.
We need the more control for music quality on Apple Music. Since, some area data are not cheap.
I’ve got a developer account, & I tested iOS9. I still went back to iOS 8.4. Unjailbroken iOS is still to handicapped for me. Nothing beats BSD rooted. Nothing! Luckily in 10.11 el capitan you can disable this “rootless” garbage with a terminal command. I do miss the new app switcher, but the new music app is bordering bloatware! Again, Luckily jailbroken I can remove all of the added junk with multiple tweaks like music mod.
which day come for ipod 5 ios 9
On thus build iOS 9 Beta 4, the “Recently Deleted” Folder in photos also no longer shows any preview picture of it’s content. Personally, thats great and very useful in some ways, lol.
I’m waiting for the next update. Hope it’s soon. Some games don’t work. My contacts app keeps crashing when I try to change sounds.
