Let’s face it, a robot vacuum cleaner is fairly hi-tech, but these days we want more. Like the ability to start and stop cleaning cycles with our Apple Watch, and have it alert us the same way when it’s done.
Neato is the first robo-cleaner company to offer this facility with the latest update to the Botvac Connected …
Priced at $699, it’s $150 cheaper than iRobot’s Roomba 980, which is sadly lacking in Watch control as yet – but you probably want to check out the reviews before buying. Roomba gets 4.3 stars on Amazon against the Botvac’s 3.8, Engadget reporting that the latter has a tendency to get stuck in corners.

Seriously, how lazy have we become that we need a robotic vacuum cleaner, let alone an app on our AW to control it.
If you want to waste your time feel free, some of us have more important things to do. And until you’ve tried a robotic mop (iRobot Scooba) you really have no idea what you’re talking about. Insanely huge timesaver.
I own a Neato vacuum, not only does it do a MUCH better job then a traditional more expensive vacuum, but the perfectly symmetrical lines it vacuums in the carpet coupled with daily scheduled cleaning make this a priceless device. With 5 pets I would have to spend an hour each day doing what it does automatically while I’m at work. They did an outstanding job designing it to overcome just about any obstacle, could never go back to traditional LESS CAPABLY vacuum.
