The title of the world’s largest Apple Store has moved around the world a few times, but the location Apple announced four years ago as its biggest flagship store opens on Saturday in Dalian, China. The store is in the spectacular-looking Olympia 66 shopping mall at 66 Wusi Lu in the Xigang District of the popular tourist city.
You can see more photos of the mall below …
The mall, which spans a total of eight floors, opened back in December. It has won a number of awards, including Best Retail Architecture in Asia Pacific.
Apple has been on a roll with its Apple Store openings in China, now three-quarters of the way toward its goal of 40 stores in the country by the end of the year. The grand opening is at 10 am on Saturday, March 19th.

I wonder if the Genius Bar is longer than the current one in ‘my’ Store in Amsterdam. That one is supposed to be the longest in the world.
The Amsterdam design would make that a hard record to beat, but will be interesting to see the interior photos once it opens.
Six million person city. Major financial center and tourist location. Yeah, it could probably use an Apple Store. Funny that low hanging fruit like this is still available to Apple and yet the market sees no chance at growing revenue and in fact stock is priced as if revenue is going to shrink.
It’s actually the second store in Dalian.
The building is lovely, but there’s not a single picture of the ‘World’s biggest Apple Store’ in this article…
That’s because the Store is closed. The opening is this Saturday, which the article clearly states.
Perhaps 9to5 should wait until the store opens, THEN issue the press. Especially, since this is in a completely different country then most of its viewers. I’m reading the entire article looking for the store. Meh, this is clearly a 1st world problem… but I’m just saying. #MovingOn
Is that a shopping mall or an air filtration unit? fuuuugggly
