Adobe Lightroom and Alto’s Adventure updated with iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus optimizations

As the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus continue to make their way to more and more people, developers are gradually rolling out app updates with new features specific to Apple’s latest devices. Today, a pair of popular apps have been updated: Alto’s Adventure and Adobe Lightroom.

First off, Alto’s Adventure has been updated to take advantage of the Taptic Engine in the iPhone 7. The game is the first to implement haptic feedback into gameplay. The company says that it is able to offer more precise vibrational feedback when certain moments occur in a run:

Thanks to the expanded Taptic Engine, we’ve been able to pinpoint exciting moments in a run and tie them to more precise vibrational feedback. Now, you’ll feel a nice jolt of satisfaction upon collecting a wayward llama or sliding over an ice boost. The golden burst of a super coin or powdery landing of a huge combo will hopefully be a little more thrilling.

We’ve even tried to give some consideration to calmer moments: reaching minimum & maximum zoom or snapping the perfect shot in Photo Mode will vibrate like a real camera, immersing you in the joys of being your own mountain photographer. The list goes on, but rather than spoil it all, we’re excited for players to stumble onto each new interaction and find their favourite ones.

Alto’s Adventure is available on the App Store for $3.99.

Additionally, Adobe Lightroom today has been updated with optimizations for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Earlier this month, the app gained support for RAW image capture and now the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are able to take advantage of that feature.

Today’s update adds support for the lens and sensor profiles of Apple’s latest devices. This means that the app is now optimizes for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus hardware, including support for the latter of the two’s dual-camera setup.

  • Support for iPhone 7 Plus dual lens camera
  • Optimized for iPhone 7
  • Improved color, lens, and noise profiles for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus DNG files
  • The in-app camera now supports the DNG format! DNG is Adobe’s open-source raw format that gives you maximum image quality and the greatest amount of editing flexibility. To use the DNG format you need to have iOS 10 and a device that has a 12MP camera
  • Support for the P3 color space

Adobe Lightroom is available for free on the App Store.
