When Apple announced HomePod last summer, it introduced the smart speaker with a $349 price tag in the United States and promised availability in the UK and Australia. Now that Apple has announced both the order and release dates, we now know how much HomePod will cost in the two other launch countries.
In the UK:
HomePod is available at an Apple retail price of £319 in white and space grey in the US, UK and Australia and available to order beginning Friday, January 26, from apple.com/ukand the Apple Store app. HomePod will be available in Apple Stores and at select Apple Authorised Resellers, including Best Buy in the US; Argos, Dixons Carphone (Currys PC World), John Lewis, Shop Direct (Very and Littlewoods), EE and Apple Premium Resellers in the UK; and The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Myer and Telstra in Australia, beginning Friday, February 9.
And in Australia:
HomePod is available at RRP A$499 inc. GST in white and space grey and is available to order beginning Saturday, 27 January (AEDT), from apple.com/au and the Apple Store app.
As mentioned in the original announcement, Apple promises HomePod will launch in two more countries this spring: France and Germany. That means we should see HomePod expand to those additional markets between March 20 and June 21 based on the seasonal calendar in the US.
