As 2025 comes to a close, I wanted to take a step back and look at the tech that I used and actually made a difference in my day-to-day. This is not going to be a list based solely on specs, but rather a personal rundown of the gear that I gravitated towards throughout the year because it was either very useful or just enjoyable to use. I wanted to shed some light on a few non-Apple products, but of course, I also chose my Apple product of the year at the very end. These are my favorite tech items of 2025!
For a hands-on look at all the products mentioned, be sure to watch our video below.
Now, in no particular order, these are my favorite products of the year!
Wokyis Retro Dock for Mac mini
This was announced on Kickstarter in the middle of the year, and when I saw it, I knew I needed to have it. They were able to combine a uniquely designed product with a function that also tickled the nostalgia nerve. That was a recipe for success. This dock seamlessly blends old-school Mac nostalgia with modern functionality, while being perfectly designed for the amazing M4 Mac mini.
You get:
- 5-inch built-in display
- 14-in-1 USB-C hub
- Front: 2x USB-A, SD & microSD slots, USB-C
- Rear: 2x USB-A, HDMI 2.1, 2x USB-C, 3.5mm jack
- Built-in NVMe SSD enclosure (up to 8TB)
It’s nostalgic, practical, a conversation starter, and one of those rare accessories that feels both playful and useful. They are now on Amazon for $169!

Sotsu FlipAction portable monitor
I recently reviewed this monitor, so if you’d like a full, in-depth rundown, I recommend checking out this post. But this portable monitor feels like something Apple would have made. It’s as if they took a 16-inch iPad and placed it on a Pro Display XDR stand, making it both modular and portable. It features an aluminum build, a smooth hinge, and an overall polished finish, making it ideal for both on-the-road use and as a permanent part of a desk setup. You get:
- 16-inch display (Full HD or 4K options)
- 270-degree adjustable hinge
- Aluminum construction
- Built-in SD card reader
- Mini HDMI port
- USB-C single-cable connection
I have been using it mostly as a vertical side display for my Mac mini setup but I also take it on the go and its fantastic, especially with iPadOS 26! You can get them on Sotsu’s site starting $599

Logitech MX Master 4
I used the same Logitech Anywhere 2S for 8+ years. I had no reason to really upgrade because it worked so well. But then Logitech released the MX Master 4, and wow. The MX Master 4 is supremely comfortable, incredibly precise, and feels purpose-built for long desk sessions. They also added a new haptic engine to this mouse, which is something you need to experience.
Key specs:
- Ergonomic design
- Haptic scroll wheel with horizontal scrolling
- Customizable gesture buttons
- Excellent battery life (weeks per charge)
- Multi-device pairing
The customizations you can make with the Logitech app are impressive. If you want the best of the best, the MX Master 4 is the way to go. You can get it on Amazon for $119!

Kuxiu X40 Turbo
This was the first Qi 2.2 certified charger that I tested, and it’s the one I use most frequently as well. It’s compact, powerful, has a beautiful color matching Cosmic Orange, and supports the latest 25W wireless charging standard. Here is what you should know:
- Qi2.2 wireless charging (up to 25W)
- Charges iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch
- Foldable puck-to-stand design
- Includes power adapter, cable, and travel case
- Anodized aluminum finish
This charger is functional, travel-ready, and looks fantastic with the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro. You can purchase this from Kuxiu’s site for $78, which includes the charger, cable, charging brick, and carrying case.

EcoFlow Rapid Power Pro
This year, I wanted to get myself a power bank that can handle anything. I wanted to be able to charge anything from my AirPods to a 16-inch MacBook Pro if I ever needed to. I wanted it to have a built-in cable, a diagnostic display that showed me how fast the products were charging, and I wanted it to be able to come with me on a flight. The EcoFlow Rapid Power Pro checked all of those boxes.
You get:
- 27,600mAh capacity
- Built-in retractable USB-C cable (up to 140W output)
- 3 Additional USB-C ports (140W + 2x 65W)
- LED power, wattage display, Bluetooth app connectivity
- Up to 320W out at one time
- Pogo-pin support for EcoFlow dock ecosystem
This power bank is overkill in the best way possible. It’s also highly reliable and never misses a beat. You can snag this on Amazon for $189 (which is $30 off from black friday!)
Apple products of the year
Now, I also wanted to include a few Apple products for my products of the year. My thought was to include one iPhone and one non-iPhone for this. The only rule was that they would have to have been released in 2025. So I could not just pick the M4 Mac mini, since it was released in 2024. But figured I should still mention it! But let’s start with the non-iPhone Apple product!
AirPods Pro 3
If you ever want to truly experience the magic that is the Apple ecosystem, the AirPods Pro are a fantastic example. Even coming from AirPods Pro 2, the improvements here were immediately noticeable. The noise cancellation improvements combined with the new foam/silicon hybrid tips are impressive.
Key specs:
- Improved Active Noise Cancellation
- Up to 8 hours of listening per charge
- New silicone + foam ear tips
- Heart rate sensor support
- Better microphone array
They are not a must-have if you already have the Pro 2s, but if you have any other AirPods, then get these ASAP! You can get them on Amazon for as low as $199 (currently the low is $219). Now for my iPhone of the year!
iPhone Air
The iPhone Air isn’t about value; it’s about flexing the design muscle to see just how much phone can be had in such a slim and light form factor. Apple clearly prioritized thinness and feel above everything else, and the result is the most enjoyable iPhone I’ve used in years.
Key specs:
- 5.6mm thin, 165g in weight
- A19 Pro chip
- 48MP main camera
- 120Hz ProMotion display
- All-day battery (for most)
It makes every other phone feel heavy and outdated. While the iPhone 17 is probably the best value iPhone ever, the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are excellent Pro phones. For me, this was Apple’s boldest and most interesting iPhone since the iPhone X. You can get the iPhone Air renewed on Amazon for $849!

Final thoughts
I could have added a few more tech products this year, but I wanted to limit it to the ones that I truly enjoyed using and still use daily. 2025 was a great year for tech, and I am excited to see what 2026 brings.
What was your favorite product you picked up this year? What are you excited about next year? iPhone Fold maybe?
