Apple releases third RCs for macOS Sequoia 15.7.4 and macOS Sonoma 14.8.4

In addition to macOS Tahoe 26.3 beta 3, Apple has released new beta updates for older macOS versions. Here are the details.

macOS Sequoia and Sonoma get a rare third RC

It’s been a busy day on Apple’s operating systems front. In addition to releasing iOS 26.2.1 and iPadOS 26.2.1, bringing compatibility with the new AirTag, the company is also rolling out the third wave of betas for iOS 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, macOS Tahoe 26.3, and more.

Apple is also rolling out the third Release Candidates for macOS Sonoma 14.8.4 (build 23J314), and macOS Sequoia 15.7.4 (build 24G512), both of which are expected to include important security fixes.

Apple has yet to detail these systems’ release notes on its Security Releases page, but these details should become available sooner rather than later. These updates are expected to be released officially as early as next week.
