Apple shares heartwarming ‘Glad I Met You’ short film shot on iPhone 17 Pro

Apple has released its annual Shot on iPhone short film in celebration of Chinese New Year. This year’s film, “Glad I Met You,” tells a heartwarming story of finding family with a stray dog.

Apple says the short film was directed by Bai Sue and shot on iPhone 17 Pro:

A girl, a talking dog, and a meticulously thought out scheme make up this heartwarming tale about finding family. Apple joins forces with director Bai Xue for an imaginative blend of cinematography and stop-motion to usher in Chinese New Year.

The company also shared a companion behind-the-scenes video:

Fellow pet lover Ke Ming takes us behind the scenes of “Glad I Met You” to reveal what it’s like on set with the crew, the animators, and iPhone 17 Pro.

Since 2018, Apple has used Chinese New Year both to welcome in the lunar year, and to showcase the cinematic prowess of the current iPhone. You can watch both of this year’s videos below.
