Update, 5:56 p.m. ET: The public RCs are now available as well.

Just one week after rolling out the first Release Candidates of macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, the second RCs are now available for testing. Here are the details.

Security fixes expected for both systems

In addition to testing out macOS 27.2 ahead of its official release in the coming weeks, Apple has also been working on point updates for macOS Sequoia and macOS Tahoe.

Apple is now rolling out the second release candidates for macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, without having released regular beta versions first

So far, Apple’s release notes for macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and macOS Tahoe 26.7.2 mention only the usual “important security fixes,” without offering any additional details about the vulnerabilities being addressed.

As usual, Apple is expected to publish more information about those fixes once the updates are officially released, although those details sometimes take a few additional days to become available.

The release build for macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 RC 2 is 24H225, while the release build for macOS Tahoe 26.7.2 RC 2 is 25G325.
