Apple Expo Paris to be Launchpad for European iPhones, TV Shows

Apple-Expo-Paris Bet you forgot about ol’ Apple Expo Paris didn’t you? Well, from September 25-29th, 2007, Paris will be LE place to be for Apple aficionados the world over.  The Fall event is held at  a perfect time for a European iPhone announcements in front of the home crowd – a month ahead of the release.  

Additionally, the Eurocentric crowd will likely get their own version of country-specific television shows on iTunes and an expanding iTunes Movies coverage. 

Jonny Evans over at Macworld.co.uk has announced that both Vodafone and O2 would be carrying the iPhone in the UK – something we voiced a few months back. The release date has been speculated to be

Is Scrollmotion involved with the tablet?

Scrollmotion is the largest publisher to Apple’s App Store by far. 

We currently offer over 2,500 best-selling books in the App Store, and are thrilled to announce we will soon be bringing more than a million books, as well as more than 50 major magazines and over 170 daily newspapers to the iPhone. Our content partners include most of the leading book, newspaper and magazine publishers in the United States, as well as a growing portfolio of film, television, and educational clients.

With their Iceberg reader software they are able to take a book and turn it into a interactive app quickly and at the same time add lots of interactive media.  They’ve also got deals with all of the major publishing houses so it would make sense that theyd be involved with the Tablet’s eReading functionality, right?

I’d heard earlier that they were being bypassed by Apple, even though Apple brought them to stage at last year’s WWDC where they showed off the unreleased features of iPhone OS 3.0  (in-app purchases, etc.) for Iceberg reader.

The strange thing is that, when asked to comment, I got this reply:

Apple Trademarks Games – iGame?

UPDATE: Woops, Apple is hiring game developers.

Maybe that third Touch OSX device that was spied wasn’t a 3G iPhone or a Tablet…maybe it was a gaming machine?  Apple, last week, filed a trademark in relation to:

“hand-held units for playing electronic games; hand-held units for playing video games; stand alone video game machines; electronic games other than those adapted for use with television receivers only; LCD game machines; electronic educational game machines; toys, namely battery-powered computer games”

Americans are spending more on electronics like iPads and flat-screen televisions and less on durable goods like furniture, washing machines and lawn mowers, according to government data released Tuesday…

Since September 2009, the 27-year-old has spent about $8,000 on new electronics. Among his buys are Apple’s iPhone 4, MacBook Pro, iPad and iPod. He also bought a Blu-ray video player and a $2,000 stereo system.

Apparel executives say the iPhone in particular has become an ornament in its own right. “It’s a new fashion accessory, there’s no doubt about it,” said Richard Dickson, CEO of branded businesses at Jones Apparel Group Inc., which includes Jones New York, Nine West and Anne Klein.
