Spotify just gave users a highly requested feature after years of feedback

Fresh off its polarizing disco ball icon fix, Spotify is continuing to listen to users with easy-win changes. Starting today, the company is giving users a highly requested feature that has sparked feedback for years: vastly expanded pinning.

Spotify pinned item count increasing from 4 to 20

Spotify shared on Wednesday that users have been requesting the ability to pin more than just four items in the library for years.

Apple Music introduced pinning artists, albums, playlists, and more last summer in iOS 26 with a fixed limit of six items.

Now Spotify is delivering the goods with a big increase on its previous pin limit, raising the max from four items to 20 items.

The company says both free and paid users can start pinning up to 20 items to their library starting today with the global rollout.

Sometimes the smallest changes can make users the happiest, so it’s great to see a simple fix like this one.
