One of the best things about Apple’s CarPlay platform is the robust availability of third-party apps from iPhone. This week, RadarScope, the popular and powerful iPhone weather app, was updated with support for CarPlay.
RadarScope comes to CarPlay
For those unfamiliar, RadarScope is an incredibly capable radar app for iPhone, with high-resolution data from over 300 radars. It lets you track severe weather and all of the necessary data.

The new RadarScope app for CarPlay app has a range of powerful features, and is not just a basic port of the iPhone version. In a post on X, weather enthusiast Jackson has a great explanation of why the launch of RadarScope on CarPlay is so exciting:
Most notably: CarPlay with navigation!!! You can select MRMS, Single site, satellite, and overlay your route on that, this is incredible for storm chasers, warnings, probsevere, reports, everything shows up on the map too!! Very nice addition is, as you drive, if you use single site, it will auto switch the radar to the radar you are closest to as you drive.
