Bose products reportedly set to return to Apple Store shelves as early as next week

Earier this year Bose and Apple had a bit of a falling out when the former decided to block NFL players from wearing Beats headphones while on camera, then fined players who violated the rule. Beats Electronics co-founder Jimmy Iovine said at the time that the ban actually served Beats by providing a bit of free publicity.

Apple apparently didn’t agree, and retaliated by pulling all Bose products from its store shelves in October. Around that time the two companies were also duking it out in a patent lawsuit, though they eventually decided to settle.

A new report from iGen indicates that the feud may have been settled, however, and Bose might be making a triumphant return to the Cupertino company’s physical stores. iGen says a source has told the site that several Apple Stores have started getting shipments of Bose gear to put on the floor for next week.

What shred of evidence do you have to support your claim that Bose was removed from store shelves because of either the patent lawsuit or the NFL contract?

      Good question.
Although if you are suing someone it makes no sense to help them make money.
I’d guess the settlement required Apple to restock the shelves with Bose.

You mean like Apple suing Samsung while also buying the bulk of the Ax chips?

The NFL contract likely did not mention Apple.
I think the author is providing some background.
This website likes to portray Apple as a perpetual victim.

No, they are clearly portraying Apple as the aggressor. Regardless, the only factual story in the blog is that Bose “might be” returning to Apple stores. Way to avoid sensationalizing the story there, Mike Beasley. Of course, there is that whole business about making up wild accusations regarding Apple’s motives.

The Apple Store could use an infusion of speakers and stereos regardless of being Bose or not. Since Apple switched to Lightning and AirPlay speakers, docks and stereos have been a stale segment.

Overpriced fashion headphones need to make way for good quality speakers and docks again.
