Now that the 12-inch MacBook we first unveiled in January has been officially announced, we’re starting to see new accessories designed especially for Apple’s redesigned notebook. San Francisco-based WaterField Designs has a brand new ultra-slim bag fitted specifically for Apple’s new Retina 12-inch MacBook…
The Zip Brief features “leather with waxed canvas or ballistic nylon” on the outside as well as an exterior, angled pocket for toting your phone or other gadgets and accessories. On the inside, the Zip Brief includes plush padding to protect your new gold, space gray, or silver 12-inch MacBook, and pockets found inside can hold your power adapter or a few of those USB-C adapters you might be carrying.
While maintaining a sophisticated briefcase look when zipped, the Zip Brief unzips to easily expose what’s inside to make passing through airport security as simple a process as possible. The zippers wrap around three sides of the Zip Brief allowing the 12-inch MacBook carrying bag to lay flat and reveal the notebook sleeve and two accessory pockets.
If the straps and briefcase look isn’t for you, you can also tote the Zip Brief over your shoulder with the included detachable straps.
The Zip Brief for the 12-inch Retina MacBook is available for pre-order for $179 and will begin shipping at the end of the month on March 31st. While announced yesterday, Apple’s new 12-inch Retina MacBook won’t be available until April 10th, giving you a few weeks to stock up on accessories ahead of time.

While I like the bag, we still don’t know what the new MacBook’s USB Type-C AC adapter is going to look like. If it’s the same wieldly brick we’ve had for years, it’s going to bulge out like a sore thumb in that nice slim bag.
its the like the ipad charger but a little bigger
Wow, overpriced just like the computer itself.
