Apple Pay officially launched in the U.K. earlier this summer with support from 8 banks, but notably missing from the list was popular bank Lloyds. It appears, however, that Lloyds is inching closer to launching support Apple Pay. As noted by several readers, U.K. residents can now add a Lloyds card to your Wallet, and almost complete the process, but the app presents an error at the end when you are presented with the terms and conditions…
Previously, Lloyds customers would be presented with a “Your Issuer Does Not Yet Offer Support for This Card” error when trying to add a card to Apple Pay. Now, that error no longer appears. Users can add a card like normal, but they are unable to accept the terms and conditions when presented after adding the card.
While this doesn’t offer a specific timetable for Lloyds support in Apple Pay, it does show that Apple and Lloyds are actively working behind the scenes to add support. It’s very possible that Apple will announce a U.K. Apple Pay expansion at its event next week, although that has obviously not been confirmed.
Notably still missing from supporting Apple Pay in the U.K. is Barclays. The institution has said in the past that it is “really excited” about Apple Pay and intends to support it in the future for both its debit and credit cards. A specific launch date, however, remains unclear.
Earlier this week, the contactless limit for Apple Pay in the U.K. was raised to £30. Apple Pay in the U.K. is currently supported by American Express, first direct, HSBC, NatWest, Nationwide, MBNA, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and Ulster.

The Co-Operative Supermarket chain in the UK has just suspended Apple Pay because of incomplete transactions – source – I used my Watch at a place on Tuesday Morning, By the Evening it was being rejected – Manager told me a directive from Head Office had come in.
Halifax have also issued a ‘coming soon’ message a few days ago.
Yes I get the same message after trying to accept the Ts and Cs of my halifax card.
Yeah, I think there must be another wave of rollouts soon.
They keep adding banks in the US without waiting any event to announce them, why would it be different for the UK? They really should add Lloyds as soon as possible; they can still mention it during they keynote if they want, but to wait for it is plain stupid.

I tried adding my Lloyds card on day one of Apple Pay and it did everything described in this article. Nothing has changed when I tried it again today.
Halifax bank have been like this for 2 weeks now…shows the T’s & C’s but errors on confirmation
Halifax just started working this morning!! managed to add my reward card ( and its activated )
Just checked the lloyds website and the info page has changed from coming soon to a one liner ‘ a new way to pay’

Seems like lloyds is working too – my wife card works – but mine doesn’t – this looks like its because my card is older and is not NFC and that seems to be a factor when setting it up :-)
Ok – now its all clear – they are processing cards ( lloyds ) in a certain order – nfc first. So NFC ones are likely to work first, non nfc ones later – i was told to leave it as long as monday and try then.
