It seems you can hardly turn a corner in China without bumping into an iPhone 7 mockup these days. With widespread consensus on the expected design, we’re now seeing both physical mockups and renders in a range of colors, so we’ve pulled together a number of them in a gallery, together with a new video …
Nobody knows for sure what Apple has planned in terms of colors, but we’ve seen the usual Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold from the existing range – plus a possible Space Black and a short-lived rumor of a deep blue.
The accuracy of the mockup colors compared to the existing range is rather variable, so it’s worth reminding ourselves of the actual current colors of the iPhone 6s when viewing the various attempts to reproduce these in mockup form.
The first rumor of a new color was of a blue, whether deep or otherwise.
That one didn’t last long, superceded by the idea of a similar Space Black to the Apple Watch, seen here in renders and a popular idea with readers.
And here’s a collection of what the iPhone 7 range might look like in standard colours, with a Space Black thrown in (images: feldvolk.com, macitynet.it, gsmarena.com, weibo.com). One set precedes the redesigned antenna lines.
Finally, MacRumors spotted a new video, albeit one featuring mockups with a very unrealistic finish.
If you had the choice of all the colors shown, which would you choose? Take our poll, and share your thoughts in the comments.
