Apple Stores low on iLife

We’ve been told by some Retail folks that Apple Stores are low on their supplies of the iLife software suite. Apple is rumored to be updating the media-focused software suite and this is a yet another indicator that an iLife refresh will be announced at or around Apple’s October 20th Mac event.

We’ve reported that the next version of iLife, iLife ’11, may drop iDVD, include some sort of iOS integration, and may be completely re-written in 64-bit. Additionally, rumor has it that Apple may include some sort of FaceTime/iChat integration as a part of iLife ’11 – although we like to think that will be something coming in 10.7 Lion. Other indicators of an imminent iLife refresh have surfaced lately including massive price drops and listings on Amazon.
