Nielsen's iPad download figures were wrong, wrong, wrong

Remember last week’s story which claimed 32 percent of iPad owners never ever downloaded an app? Please ignore the claim, as Nielsen has released a terse statement which basically says it got this one completely wrong. So shred the thought from your memory immediately.

Nielsen has updated its blog post and report with a new chart, which shows the percentage of non-downloading iPad owners as just 9 per cent.

“This article and the related download have been amended to reflect updates to the percentage of iPad users in the survey downloading apps,” the analysts quietly admitted. Other stats remain unchanged.

No explantion for the HUGE DISCREPANCY has been provided.
