9 Million to Go

I imagine things will speed up once Apple gets to Europe and Asia -- especially Asia, where the likelihood of network-locked cell phones is much lower.

from some reason, Apple says "screw you" to all Asia, half of Europe, all Africa and South America. There are no iTMS in all of those countries, Mac OS X is not availble in their languages and so on. From some weird reasons, Apple doesnt see the middle and west Europe and especially Asia.

I imagine part of the reason for no iTMS in Asia, Africa, South America is cost via PPP (Purchasing Power Parity)

For example, 99c / 79p per song equates to something like 40 Indian Rupees, 2 Singapore Dollars, 8 Hong Kong Dollars, and so on; and that is (in all those markets) pretty steep.

CDs that cost $10-12 in the US cost (effectively) $5 or so in many parts of Asia -- that would mean Apple would have to
(a) create lower price agreements with music houses; and
(b) get many more local musicians on board;

both of which it might not be in a position to do for now.

That said, a global iTMS is on my Apple wishlist, but not one I think Apple will grant me any time soon.

Please put this option too:

They will sell the 10 millionth iPhone with the release of the iPhone Nano just like when Apple became the 1st MP3 player vendor with the iPod Nano.

Thanks in advance.

This is an excellent article.
I think that VoiP Phone Service will compliment the features the iPhone has to offer.
