Apple announces iTunes Fesitval 2012, free shows from Usher, Norah Jones, & Jack White

First held in 2007, Apple just announced this year’s iTunes Festival lineup and information. The event has been moved from this July to September at London’s Roundhouse music venue. It will offer 30 nights of free music for live attendees and users of iOS devices through the recently updated iTunes Festival app. Apple snagged some of this summer’s hottest acts including Jack White (previously of the White Stripes), One Direction, and R&B superstar Usher. Norah Jones, who performed at Steve Jobs’ Tribute event in Apple’s Headquarters, will take the Festival stage as well. The full line-up will include more than 60 artists…

Tickets are not available for purchase and can only be won through a random drawing. Entrants must be over 14-years-old and currently reside in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Ireland, or Netherlands. Apple will draw winners for the show of their choice each week in June, with 160 total pairs available for each night.

To enter, head over to the iTunes Festival website and select an artist to win tickets for that show. You can also enter to win from within the free iOS app, which includes information on the venue, complete line-ups, and news surrounding the festival. If you are not lucky enough to be chosen, you can stream each night’s festivities via your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch in the app.
