There have been a number of demonstrations of the new 120fps slow-motion video capabilities of the iPhone 5s, but this one is the most beautiful I’ve seen.
Normal video is shot at 30 frames per second, a rate fast enough that the action looks smooth to the human eye. By filming at 120fps, four times faster than normal, the footage still looks beautifully smooth when slowed down by the same amount.
The effect was used in footage shot at the Burberry London fashion show, shot entirely with the iPhone 5s.

This looks awesome!

Can’t wait to get my hands on the 5s.
Guaranteed to elicit yawns by both Wall Street and the smartphone industry, in general. I’m sure there must be slow motion on some Android smartphone somewhere. Everything else is. It’s being claimed that no matter what Apple comes out with Android has already had it. Well, except for the 64-bit A7, but that’s just claimed to be useless junk that no smartphone needs. Of course, Samsung can’t let Apple be the only one to have a 64-bit processor but they only do it to copy whatever Apple has even if it doesn’t make much sense to them.
You have the mind of a chiled if you think apple copys samsung in any way. If smart phones look the way they do today is bc of apple. If a 64 bit os doesnt make sense to you then you have no idea what you are talking about and you are 2000 late. Lets see who comes out with a gold phone next. Oh wait samsung just did lol. Youre brain washed child.
My Samsung had a slow motion mode. Though it wasn’t quite as smooth.
So gorgeous. I loved playing with the slowmo camera in crazy lighting — here’s a video I just wrapped of a guy dancing in a shiny tux with a disco ball: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE8kcJcpF18 — One thing, it was really tough to get the footage onto my computer from the phone — figured out a workaround to upload the video to youtube & then re-download it to import into FCP
