Two of the great updated features in OS X Yosemite are improved versions of both Notification Center and Spotlight, both of which have become staples on OS X. Both of these features have received substantial updates, dropping their old user interfaces entirely, and gaining quite a few new features.
In this video, we’ll take you on a little tour of the new interfaces and their features.

Isn’t there any more “do not disturb” tab?
So, the key question: how stable, in 1 to 10, is it? :)
not stable. had it on all night and while it’s cool it’s certainly not suitable for day to day use. All kinds of apps crash, lots of apps don’t work, it’s definitely still work in progress.
I use it for 14 days and I don’t have much trouble using it, sometimes some apps get crazy, especially mail app, but generally it’s pretty stable. I work on it every day.
what happened with all the expected hardware?
It’s a developers conference. It is rather rare for Apple to present new hardware at WWDC.
There was NO expected hardware. Don’t spew FUD.
Hardware seems to have taken a back seat until now. In fact I always want them to make delayed updates in hardware. You buy an iPad and suddenly two months later tadaa! there is iPad Air. Its heart breaking. Though I’ve enrolled for the beta release of Yosemite and really looking forward to it
Yes, because that doesn’t happen with ANY other hardware…
Using iOS beta 8 on iphone and Yosemite on MBP, just noticed that all text messages are now forwarded to iMessage on MBP whether they are iMessage or not. Works quite well.
The rest of the OSes are still very raw and buggy. Expected for a beta 1 release but I couldn’t handle it on my Mac and I rolled it back.
So is the dashboard still there?
Yep, and unchanged in any way.
