Apple names Apple Watch Marketing and Medical VPs as it puts out first job listing

Apple has now named new Marketing and Medical VPs for its Apple Watch team following the product’s official unveiling earlier this month. The company has also today posted its first job listing seeking software engineers for the Apple Watch team on its website.

Longtime Apple marketing executive Stan Ng gets a promotion from his previous role as Senior iPhone Product Marketing to VP of Product Marketing for Apple Watch. Ng has held various executive roles since 1999 and previously served as Sr. Director iPhone Product Marketing and before that of iPod Product Marketing.

Apple has also named Michael O’Reilly Vice President of Medical Technology at Apple after officially unveiling the health-focused Watch product during its event earlier this month. We reported earlier this year that Apple had hired Dr. Michael O’Reilly last year to work on a range of health related projects at Apple.

In addition to naming the new executives, Apple also posted its first job listing for the Apple Watch team today on its website. Apple is now hiring software engineers for the team to work on software and testing ahead of the product’s public launch sometime next year.

They’re gonna make this a successful product. Aside from how great it looks, they’ve got a great team.
