Sprint offering free double data to family and business accounts through October 31st

Today, Sprint announced a new promotion that gives its customers “double the data” offered by AT&T and Verizon for the same price. The carrier’s 32GB, 40GB and 60GB Family Share Pack plans will change to 60GB, 80GB and 120GB at no additional charge. Similar to AT&T’s newest promotion, Sprint’s deal also comes to an end on October 31st.

Not limited to consumer accounts, Sprint will be extending this offer to its business customers starting on Friday, October 3rd. Enterprise accounts will have the chance to jump from 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, or 100GB of data to 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, and 200GB at no extra cost until the end of October.

In addition to doubling down on data, Sprint is waiving the monthly access charge on smartphones, tablets and hotspots through 2015 for customers transferring their number from a different carrier. This offer requires a service agreement with 20GB of data or more and consumer accounts will need to purchase their device through Sprint’s Easy Pay or its new iPhone for Life plan.

Sprint Doubles the Data of AT&T Promotion with Sprint Family Share Pack and Sprint Business Share Offers

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), October 01, 2014 – Sprint (NYSE: S) continues its pledge to provide U.S. consumers “double the data” compared to AT&T and Verizon for the same or lower monthly price. Starting today, Sprint is offering double the data of AT&T’s recently announced promotion by adding value to the high-end data allowances on data share plans. These changes, in combination with Sprint’s capacity-rich 2.5 GHz spectrum position and America’s Newest Network, further illustrates Sprint’s commitment to deliver the best value to consumers.

Sprint Family Share Pack

Beginning today, new and existing Sprint customers will get virtually double the sharable data, for the same price as AT&T, on the 32GB, 40GB and 60GB Family Share Pack plans. This gives customers 60GB, 80GB, or 120GB of data – at no extra cost — if they sign up by Oct. 31 at Sprint retail stores, Sprint.com or Sprint Telesales. Promotion will be available in additional retail outlets soon. Existing customers on the current Sprint Family Share Pack plans that want to take advantage of the “double the data” promotion can visit their local Sprint Retail store or dial *2 for Customer Care from their wireless device by Oct. 31.

For customers switching their number to Sprint from another carrier, Sprint is waiving the access charge for handsets, tablets and mobile broadband devices on 20GB or higher data allowances for up to 10 lines.1 All devices must be purchased through Sprint Easy Pay or the Sprint iPhone for Life Plan.

America’s Newest Network

Sprint has already built its 4G LTE network to serve more than 255 million people, with more on the way making it easy for customers to enjoy data on their devices.

But that’s not all. In addition to Sprint’s all new 3G network and its 4G LTE network, Sprint is deploying Sprint Spark, a technology designed to greatly improve the performance of video and other bandwidth-intensive applications, including new generations of online gaming, virtual reality and advanced cloud services. It enables stutter-free video chat on-the-go and mobile gaming that leaves lag behind.

Available today in 27 markets across the country, Sprint Spark is an enhanced LTE service that’s built for data and designed to deliver average wireless speeds of 6-15Mbps and peak wireless speeds of 50-60Mbps today on capable devices, with increasing speed potential over time. Sprint plans to reach 100 million Americans by year-end with the service.2

In my area – Sprint Service Sucks! It may be an inexpensive plan – but if the service isn’t there then it’s not a good deal.

    YMMV

So now Sprint is the most active and new disruptive, What mr Legere is thinking now ? http://www.telecomvibe.com

He doesn’t need to think. Sprint connection sucks every where, so even if you have tons of GB in your data plan, you won’t be able to use it…yup.

I guess it would be nice if you actually got data on Sprint. I got two families (8 lines) to switch over to TMO when the new iPhones came out. They can’t believe the difference between Sprint and TMO. They actually get data with their iPhones now and love it.

Focus less on data and more on fixing crappy service. Sprint should be renamed to Crawl.

Agree…even in NYC – their service can drop down to 3g or less quickly. Also who needs this much data, are people running bittorrent on their phones?

Sprint LTE speed stinks. Who gives the sht…3Mbps download and upload? That’s slower then ATT 3G.
