Jony Ive & Jimmy Iovine slated to speak at Vanity Fair Summit in October

Vanity Fair today has revealed the list of people who will speak at its upcoming New Establishment Summit in October and once again, Apple’s Chief Design Officer Jony Ive will be in attendance. Last year, Ive attended the event and discussed many of his opinions on design and told several stories of designing the various iPhone models over the years. This year, however, Beats cofounder Jimmy Iovine will also be attending the Vanity Fair event.

It’s unclear at this point if Ive and Iovine will be paired together during their interview, although Vanity Fair promises “unexpected” speaker pairings to elicit better discussion. More details are still set to be revealed regarding the Summit, but the event will run from October 5th to October 7th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Given the October time for the event, it is likely that Ive will discuss the iPhone 6s and its design, although not much is expected to change in terms of external appearance. Last year, Ive remarked that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus the first time Apple had attempted to design larger iPhones. The difference, however, was that the curved design of the devices made it easier for the screen size to increase while also making sure they were still easy to hold. This year, Ive could also discuss his recent promotion to Chief Design Officer.

The are a wide range of topics Iovine could discuss during his interview, some of which include Apple Music and Beats 1, as well as the Beats headphones and speakers and the future of the products now that Beats is owned by Apple.

In addition to Ive and Iovine, a variety of other tech moguls are on the docket to attend the Vanity Fair event, including Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Lena Dunham, J.J. Abrams, Kara Swisher, Bog Iger, and Snapchat’s Evan Spiegel. You can view the full list of speakers here. A more detailed schedule is expected to come as the event nears.
