From 9to5Toys.com:
With news of fresh 12-inch MacBooks this morning, Apple is now further discounting previous generation refurbished models with prices starting at $929 shipped. If you’re willing to hold off on the spec bumps announced today, you’ll be able to cash in on significant savings. All of Apple’s refurbished products come with a full one-year warranty and are eligible for AppleCare.
Apple’s inventory of refurbished computers and accessories are generally limited. It’s not uncommon to see a specific model come in and out of stock. Check in regularly if your desired MacBook sells out in the coming days.

Well this complicates my decision on what to get now
Prices of the chepeast Retina Macbook start at 1450€ in most European countries. Absokute theft. I was going to buy one which I won’t because they didn’t even drop the extremely high price.
I ended up getting the refurbished maxed out Space Gray w/ the 1.3GHz processor and 512GB of flash storage for $1,319. It’s still expensive but it’s over $430 cheaper than the latest maxed out model which goes for $1,749, which is absolutely ridiculous for a computer like this, and only $20 more than the latest base model MacBook.
Anyone had any good/bad experience with Apple refurbished? These prices look decent, as they do on the 13″ MBP. I’ve never really considered refurbished before…
My last three MacBook Pros have all been refurbished, and I have had no issues with them. Plus you can get the same AppleCare warranty and extend it like you can with new models, so I’ve always enjoyed saving money on what appears to be exactly the same product.
I would echo this sentiment. Apple’s refurbished products have always been top-notch in my experience.
